Patrick Davey tin whistle, wooden flute, uilleann pipes
Patrick has been playing traditional music since the age of ten and has been teaching tin whistle, wooden flute & uilleann pipes in Belfast for over twenty years. He is a former Senior All-Ireland uilleann pipes champion and holds the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann teaching diploma as well as a Masters Degree in music from Queen¹s University, Belfast. Patrick has performed and recorded with many traditional groups and he has travelled widely to give performances, workshops and masterclasses. He is a renowned composer of traditional tunes and his compositions have been recorded by numerous traditional artists. Patrick is an Irish traditional music examiner for The London College of Music and has considerable experience preparing students for the LCM traditional music examinations. He is the Musical Director of The Loch Lao Traditional Music Society which is based in West Belfast and which organises an extensive programme of events for local traditional musicians throughout the year including concerts, sessions and Fleadh
competition groups.

Bronagh Davey tin whistle,flute, harp
Bronagh has been playing traditional music from a young age and has extensive experience in performing and teaching. As well as playing tin whistle, wooden flute and more recently harp, Bronagh also plays classical music on the concert flute. Bronagh has been teaching tin whistle for eight years and has considerable experience preparing students for the LCM traditional music examinations. She has a background in youth and community work and has also worked with The Loch Lao Traditional Music Society for many years. In 2008 she trained the Loch Lao Under 12 Fleadh group who subsequently became Ulster Champions that year.

Louise Downey fiddle & tin whistle
Louise is a highly versatile musician, playing fiddle, whistle and harp among other instruments, and is also a highly accomplished Irish dancer. She has been involved in traditional Irish music from a very young age and has considerable experience as a performer and tutor. Louise has travelled widely to participate in many traditional music and Irish dancing festivals and worked with "The Rhythm of the Dance" show.

Joanne Cassidy flute & tin whistle
Joanne has lived in West Belfast all her life and has played flute and whistle for many years. She also plays guitar and has recently earned herself a reputation as a very innovative singer-songwriter, with many successful solo performances to her credit. Joanne has played with many traditional Irish groups over the years and is currently a member of the Belfast-based traditional/folk group Reelfolk.

Catherine McGinn fiddle
Catherine is from Bangor, Co. Down, and hails from a family steeped in traditional Irish Music. Her first instrument is fiddle and she is a former All-Ireland fiddle slow airs champion. She is a highly experienced performer and instrumental tutor and is currently studying to become a school teacher.

Fiona Donnelly tin whistle
Fiona is a very versatile musician, performing on button accordion, tin whistle, fiddle and piano. She has been performing traditional Irish and classical music for many years, and has travelled widely to perform both. She has considerable experience as an instrumental tutor and is currently studying to become a school teacher.

Emer Shearer harp, tin whistle
Emer is a particularly talented musician, having scored distinctions in the complete range of LCM grade exams on whistle, flute and harp.  She was recently awarded the LCM performance diploma for her whistle playing, scoring the highest ever diploma mark at the Davey Music centre.  Emer has considerable playing and teaching experience and has been a Senior member of The Loch Lao Traditional Music Society for many years.  She has particular experience in the provision of harp music for corporate events and is currently studying for a law degree at The University of Ulster.

Emer Walsh concertina
Emer is from Newcastle in Co. Down. She is a very talented musician and as well as concertina, she plays tin whistle and is a former All-Ireland champion. She is a senior member of the Newcastle Comhaltas group and has represented her county many times at Provincial and All-Ireland level. She has considerable performing and teaching experience and was recently awarded the DipLCM performance diploma of The London College of Music for her concertina playing.

Clare Burns flute & tin whistle
Clare is from North Belfast and is a very experienced performer and tutor. She holds the DipLCM performance diploma of The London College of Music and has been teaching flute for many years. She is also a tutor with The Andersonstown Traditional Music School. She has performed widely throughout Ireland and beyond and is a member of the local group Aibhlis which features the very best of the new emerging generation of traditional Irish music performers from Belfast. Clare is a Senior member of The Loch Lao Traditional Music Society with whom she has travelled and performed widely, and she has also assisted with the preparation and training of the Loch Lao Fleadh competition groups.

Ciara O’Neill button accordion
Ciara has been involved with traditional music from a young age and plays a variety of instruments, principally button accordion.  She has been teaching with The Andersonstown Traditional Music School for a number of years and was also recently awarded the LCM performance diploma. Ciara has played throughout Ireland and beyond, including in the heats of the national Young Folk Musician awards, and is currently studying to become a teacher.

Debbie Wilkinson tin whistle, harp
Debbie has been playing traditional music for most of her life and has become a respected and highly proficient performer.  She has considerable performing and teaching experience and has been preparing students for the LCM traditional music examinations for many years, and has also worked in many local schools.  Debbie was herself recently awarded the DipLCM performance diploma by The London College of Music, as recognition of the exceptional standards she has reached as a tin whistle performer.  Debbie has also been a Senior member of The Loch Lao Traditional Music Society for many years.

Mary Ellen Burns fiddle
Mary Ellen is from North Belfast and is a very experienced performer and tutor. She holds the DipLCM performance diploma of The London College of Music and has been teaching fiddle for many years. She is a tutor with The Andersonstown Traditional Music School and also has considerable experience in school work. She has performed widely throughout Ireland and beyone and is a member of the local group Aibhlis which features the very best of the new emerging generation of traditional Irish music performers from Belfast. Mary Ellen is a Senior member of CCÉ Loch Lao with whom she has travelled and performed widelt, and she has also assisted witht eh preparation and training of the Loch Lao Fleadh competition groups.
